Pokemon Horizons, known in Japan as Pocket Monsters: Liko and Roy’s Departure and Pocket Monsters: The Sparkling of Terapagos, was released in Japan in April. The two stories will come together for Pokemon Horizons, which eventually has an American release date. Netflix has announced that the 26th Pokemon series will be coming to the streaming giant in February 2024.
Horizons introduced two new Pokemon Trainers, Liko and Roy. The two team up with the Rising Volt Tacklers, a group of adventurers exploring the ever-expanding world of Pokémon. The collection includes the Paldea region that was introduced in the 2022 Pokemon: Scarlet and Violet games.
Horizons was the first installment in the Pokemon series without Ash Ketchum, and there was a firestorm of fan speculation as to whether the long-running franchise could continue without both of its mascots. This will be the first American look at the series in English, but the English dub will air on BBC iPlayer and CBBC in the UK in December before that.
Alejandra Reynoso and Angeli Conapaneni will be the dubbing of Lico and Roy, respectively.
