Wonka, the new prequel starring Timothee Chalamet as the candy maker, has only been in theaters for a few days, but pre-orders for the exclusive 4K Steelbook edition are already available at Walmart. The special edition home video release doesn’t have a release date yet, but you can secure your copy for $35 to secure it as soon as you get the Blu-ray.

While this 4K Steelbook edition is exclusive to Walmart, pre-orders for the standard 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD editions are also available at Walmart and Amazon. Digital pre-order is also available through Prime Video. Note that there is a $5 difference in pre-order prices at Amazon and Walmart, but we expect the final prices to be the same before release.
Directed by Paul King, Wonka takes audiences back to the events of the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory – based on Roald Dahl’s 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – to show how Willy Wonka ( ) how strange is it. Beginning his career as a candy maker as well as other major events in his life such as his first encounter with the Oompa Loompa “Lofty” (played by Hugh Grant). The film was released on December 15th and so far has earned 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
